But there are little-known beaches in Thailand that you should consider visiting instead of these overcrowded ones, according to travel experts.

An analysis study from has revealed the world's most overhyped beaches. To come up with the results, they examined more than 100 globally recognised beaches and combined publicly available traveller reviews (with a minimum of 1,000 per beach), search interest on Google and TikTok and annual rainfall data to assess weather reliability. A number of other popular beaches from across the globe made the list of the most overhyped and overrated in the world. While these three Thai beaches took the top spots, number 4 went to Byron Bay in Australia.
