He added, "Unexpected twists, merciless backstabbing, and the only thing you can trust us with is betrayal. Presenting The Traitors."

Introducing the players, Karan Johar said, "Yahan milega woh rebel jo kid hote hue bhi badi badi baatein karta hai (Here you'll meet a rebel-still a kid at heart, but full of drama)," hinting at Apoorva Mukhija. He continued, "Kuch aise bhi hain jo sirf apne outfits ke sahare hi dikhte hain (And then there are those who rely solely on their outfits to make an impression)," alluding to Uorfi Javed. Referring to Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra, Karan added, "Jo karte hain masks ke piche controversies hide. (Those who try to hide scandals behind masks.)"

Without giving out names, the filmmaker further teased, "And the one.... who's fast, sadly, only by name. And jiski life is fabulous because of me (And whose life is fabulous because of me.) Thank me later darling." It could possibly be Seema Sajdeh or Kalyani Saha Chawla.
