
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday urged chief ministers of various states to work together in synergy with each other and the Centre drawing an analogy of the Indian cricket team.
Chairing the 10th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, Modi stressed on increasing the speed of development in the country.
"We have to increase the speed of development. If the Centre and all the States come together and work together like Team India, no goal is impossible," the PM said.
The theme for the first major meeting after Operation Sindoor was 'Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat@2047'. The council, the apex body of Niti Aayog includes all state CMs, lieutenant governors of Union Territories, and several Union ministers. Prime Minister Modi is the chairman of Niti Aayog.

"Viksit Bharat is the goal of every Indian. When every state is Viksit, then Bharat will be Viksit. This is the aspiration of its 140 crore citizens," he said.
Modi asked the states to develop at least one tourist destination per State at par with global standards by providing all facilities and infrastructure. "One State: One Global Destination. It would also lead to the development of the neighbouring cities as tourist places," he added.
During the meeting, the PM also noted that India is getting "rapidly urbanised" adding "we should work towards future ready cities." "Growth, innovation and sustainability should be the engine for the development of our cities," the PM said.
Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal -- N Chandrababu Naidu, M K Stalin, A Revanth Reddy, and Mamata Banerjee skipped the meeting.
