New Delhi: A health update regarding television actor Dipika Kakar has been shared by her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, revealing that a surgery for a liver tumour has been planned for the coming week. The announcement was made through the TV actor’s Instagram Stories, where he informed followers that Dipika is currently at home and being monitored closely.

It was disclosed by Shoaib that Dipika’s fever, which had been a concern earlier, is “under control” and that she’s “back home.” He added, “To update you all about Dipika’s health. Her fever is under control and she is back home… Mostly her surgery is scheduled in the next week if all goes as planned. Please keep her in your prayers.” The tumour was found on the left lobe of her liver and has been described as being the size of a tennis ball.

Dipika Kakar’s Tumor Diagnosis

The diagnosis followed weeks of discomfort that were initially mistaken for a digestive issue. According to Shoaib’s earlier vlog titled Need Your Prayers, the pain began while he was away in Chandigarh. “Dipika started having pain in her stomach and initially we thought it was due to acidity,” he shared. Following this, medication and blood tests were prescribed by their family doctor. While antibiotics were administered, the pain persisted, and additional tests were advised.

Subsequently, a CT scan was carried out, confirming the presence of a sizeable tumour. Shoaib said, “Our doctor asked us to visit again and when we met him he asked us to do a CT scan and it showed that Dipika has a tumour in the left lobe of her liver. It is bigger in size like a tennis ball. It was very shocking for us.”

Amid the concerning news, Shoaib also mentioned a happier family development. His sister Saba and her husband Khalid recently welcomed a baby boy. “Please shower the newborn baby & Saba with all your blessings!” he wrote.

Dipika and Shoaib, who met on the sets of the popular daily soap Sasural Simar Ka, tied the knot in 2018. Their first child, Ruhan, was born in 2023. The couple have often shared personal moments with fans and has requested continued prayers as they prepare for the upcoming surgery.
