
Bollywood actor Mukul Dev, brother of actor Rahul Dev, passed away on Friday night in Delhi at the age of 54. While the exact cause of his death is unknown, he had been unwell and hospitalised for the past 8–10 days before his health deteriorated last night. His Son of Sardaar co-star, Vindu Dara Singh, mourned Mukul's loss and revealed that the actor had been quite lonely.Vindu stated that he did not suffer with any disease, but Mukul would consue gutka and drink a lot. "He had become overweight and he battled loneliness. He has a daughter but she is also, she was not staying with him. He was making his comeback with Son of Sardar but the sad part is he won't be there to see it. It is very tragic news," the actor told ETimes.Vindu further shared that after the death of his parents, Mukul had been keeping to himself.Mukul was all set to make his Bollywood comeback with Son of Sardaar 2, for which he had already completed his shoot. Talking about the same, Vindu said, "He has done such fantastic work in SOS 2. He was my Tony and I was his Tito. He had an amazing role and people are going to roll on the floor laughing after seeing his work in July when the film releases. But unfortunately, he will not be around to enjoy the success and see the love."Mukul's last rites will be held today at 5 PM in Delhi.Some of Mukul's notable movies included Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar, Jai Ho and Yamla Pagla Deewana, Kohram, R... Rajkumar and War Chhod Na Yaar, among others.His career spanned over two decades, during which he appeared in numerous films across Hindi, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam cinema.
