People have shared their experience of trying to nab the machines in Aldi stores across the country on social media sites like TikTok. One user revealed that they arrived at the local Aldi after waking at 5.30am to ensure they got their hands on it.

TikTok user Eils Stephens wrote in a video post: "POV [point of view] you get up at 5.30am a pilates reformer with your bestie". In the video, we see the tickets they got handed by Aldi staff that indicate where they are in the queue to buy them.

Another TikTok user, Ash Reid, shared that she had waited three hours to get her hands on the pilates reformer machine. Other videos showed the before they were gone.

An Aldi spokeperson said: "We're sorry that some customers were unable to get their hands on this product, however, demand has been extremely high. To manage the expected demand, we operated a ticketing system, where tickets were handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.

"As with all Specialbuys, once they're gone, they're gone!"
