
Prime Minister Modi Meets Grieving Family
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the family of Shubham Dwivedi, who tragically lost his life in the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22. The meeting took place at Chakeri airport in Kanpur, where the Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the victim's parents and wife, visibly moved during the conversation.
Shubham, who had recently married on February 12, was killed during a family trip to Pahalgam, where he was with his wife and relatives.
Sanjay Dwivedi, Shubham's father, shared that the Prime Minister spoke with his daughter-in-law, Ashanya, about the horrific attack, which deeply affected him. He remarked, "This incident has caused him great pain. It was an emotional moment for all of us. I believe he will not rest until terrorism is eradicated."
Sanjay emphasized that his intention was not to make demands but to thank the Prime Minister for his efforts against terrorism. He noted, "PM Modi spoke with my daughter-in-law and expressed his sorrow over the incident. Everyone present felt the weight of the moment."
Dwivedi expressed that his primary reason for meeting the Prime Minister was to convey gratitude for the launch of Operation Sindoor and for the strong response against terrorism, which included actions deep within Pakistan.
