On the morning of 30 May, Netflix users in the US faced a major problem. Thousands of people complained that they are not able to stream their favorite film or web series. Due to this technical problem, more than 70,000 users saw the error message of “this title is not available to watch instantly” i.e. “This title is not available to see immediately”.

When and where did the problem happen?
According to the website called DowndeTector, which tracks the internet service, according to India’s time of 7 am (9 pm on May 29 at America), the reports of sudden malfunctions started increasing in Netflix. Users said that they are not able to stream any video. Netflix later admitted on its official status website that “some titles may have problems in streaming.”

How many people were affected?
According to data from Downdetetor, a total of 70,834 users faced problems during the outage. Of them:

85% of users faced problems in video streaming.

14% of users had a connection to the server.

1% of users had trouble in login.

Users made fun on social media
Meanwhile, on X (first Twitter), users shared memes and fun posts about this problem, which also went viral.

Netflix service general in India
Interestingly, Netflix users did not face any problem in India. The app, website and streaming continued completely. This outage remained limited to America only.

Netflix response
Netflix immediately accepted the outage and said that they were trying to fix it. At the moment it is not clear whether this technical problem occurred due to the server or there was a malfunction in the network.
