Netflix has finally announced the release date for the eagerly awaited sequel to Knives Out, prompting a unified request from fans.
During their special Tudm event, broadcast live overnight, the streaming behemoth unveiled the latest trailer for Wake Up Dead Man.
This new mystery is another creation of Rian Johnson, acclaimed for his directorial work on hits such as Looper and Star Wars The Last Jedi.
The film sees Daniel Craig, former James Bond, reprising his role as Benoit Blanc, who is set to tackle his most perilous case yet.
While further plot details remain under wraps, fans have been treated to a tantalising sneak peek.

Wake Up Dead Man follows the original Knives Out, which was an unexpected success both critically and commercially. The first film not only garnered a remarkable 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes but also raked in over $300 million against a $40 million budget.
Johnson's screenplay earned him an Oscar nomination, leading Netflix to secure Johnson with a lucrative deal for the sequels. This resulted in Glass Onion premiering on the platform just after Christmas in 2022, reports .
The third chapter is slated for release on 12 December this year, a detail that some fans might have overlooked in the latest trailer. Although not concealed, the release date was subtly revealed in Roman Numerals as XII XII XXV.

After the release of the latest teaser, fans are abuzz with a unified plea: they want to see the title hit the silver screen, even if only for a fleeting stint. The original Knives Out graced exclusively cinema screens upon its debut while Glass Onion savoured a succinct spell in theatres.
A fan fervently tweeted: "Please give it a wide theatrical release like Glass Onion, please, please! A rare time I would fall into this."
Echoing that sentiment, another supporter voiced: "Knives Out movies are meant to be enjoyed with friends and family on the big screen."
Meanwhile, another chimed in via social media stating: "Put it in movie theatres first. This time for longer than one week."
Wake Up Dead Man is boasting an array of stars once again, featuring the likes of Josh Brolin, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, and Mila Kunis. Devotees have scoured the new trailer, keen-eyed for arcane hints.
Intriguingly, Renner upholds the sequence of having at least one Avenger appear in each Knives Out installation. He succeeds Chris Evans (Captain America) in the premiere and Dave Bautista (Drax) in the sequel.
Revealed within the trailer, he's destined to embody Dr. Nat Sharp, notwithstanding the fact that Renner himself was playfully mentioned for his personal hot sauce brand in Glass Onion.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Myster is streaming on Netflix December 12.
