
News Desk. The weather of many states of the country has turned the turn due to the early arrival of monsoon (Monsoon 2025). After Kerala, Maharashtra has also reached the monsoon soon. Not only this, now an alert of thunderstorms has been issued in the next five days in eight states. Maharashtra’s capital and Mayanagari reached Mumbai 16 days ahead of time and with this, the record of the most rainfall was broken in May. The Meteorological Department had earlier issued an orange alert of heavy rains in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts, which was changed to red alert on Monday morning. Not only this, there is a red alert of heavy rains in these districts on Tuesday.
The southwest monsoon knocked in Mumbai on Monday. For the first time in the last 75 years, the monsoon has arrived so soon. In 1956, the monsoon reached Mumbai on 29 May and reached the same day in 1962 and 1971. Monsoon rains have also created orgy in Mumbai and disturbed the lives of people. In view of the deteriorating conditions due to rain in Maharashtra, 13 NDRF and two SDRF teams have been set up.
Rain alert in these states also
Along with Maharashtra, the Meteorological Department has still predicted rain and strong winds for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, UP, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra. According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon reached the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh on Monday. There is a possibility of reaching other areas of Andhra in a couple of days. The monsoon has already reached the remaining parts of Mizoram, the entire Tripura, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and some parts of Meghalaya besides Telangana.
Along with UP, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh as well as many areas of North West India, there was not much heat in the weather on Monday. Now, according to the Meteorological Department, during the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature in North West India can be recorded by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius. After that, mercury is estimated to increase by 3 to 4 degrees in four -five days. In Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab Haryana, UP, Rajasthan, winds can be blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour with thunderstorms from May 27 to June 1. There is also a possibility of hail in Himachal Pradesh in the next two days.
