Just hours after slamming MP , star Narinder Kaur was embroiled in a furious row on social media. This came after the politician stood in the and asked Prime Minister if he would support outlawing burkas, which are worn by some Muslim women.

The : "Given the PM's desire to strengthen strategic alignment with our European neighbours, will he, in the interests of public safety, follow the lead of France, Denmark, Belgium and others and ban the burka?", formerly known as Twitter, and blasted: "I'll cover up when I want, and I'll show skin whenever TF I want. As will my sisters... What we don't want is ANYONE, let alone a woman, telling us what should or shouldn't be allowed."

The commentator then uploaded a bikini photo to cement her statement, which received backlash from one user who responded: "Nothing screams more like an attention seeker."

Narinder hit back: "So I'm an attention seeker if I wear a bikini and I'm supporting oppression of women because I believe women have the right to wear a burka if they so choose? I've confused this man..."

However, this stirred up more debate online as another wrote: "Where did he say all that? He just called you an attention seeker. Why must you twist things to make yourself look like more of a victim, even though we can all see?"

While a third argued: "Men still thinking they can tell women what to wear. Don't like what she's wearing, well that's your problem, just carry on with your day and let her carry on with hers."

Burkas cover the entire body, including the face, with an opening around the eyes so the person wearing one can see clearly. They can be seen by some Muslims as a sign of modesty.

Although Stamer refused to answer Pochin's question about the Burka ban, her query did on GB News' Martin Daubney show, as his guest political commentator Fahima Mahomed accused Pochin of being racist.

She said: "When it comes to Sarah Pochin, talking as a female MP for the first time where she could have raised issues with regards to domestic violence, mental health in women's prisons, she picks on the European far-right nationalists and wanted to copy them in British, not secular Government."

Fahima later added: "What she's talking about is actual racism, discrimination and against a particular group. It's against other women too."
