
Veteran actor Dharmendra once melted hearts on social media when he shared a rare black-and-white photo with Bollywood icon Rekha , fondly calling her the “laadli” of their family.
The candid picture, posted on his Instagram, shows Rekha gently touching Dharmendra’s face as they sit together smiling, radiating warmth and affection from their younger days.
“Friends, Rekha will always be the laadli of our family,” wrote Dharmendra, which prompted a wave of emotional reactions from fans and fellow actors alike.
A Relationship Rooted in On-Screen Magic
Rekha and Dharmendra have shared incredible on-screen chemistry over the decades. From films like ‘Ram Balram’, ‘Kartavya’ and ‘Kasam Suhaag Ki’ to the evergreen song “Rafta Rafta Dekho Aankh Meri Ladi Hai” from ‘Kahaani Qismat Ki’, the duo’s pairing has been adored by generations.
Their work together covers dramatic, romantic, and action genres, showcasing their versatility and effortless presence on screen. They even reunited for a cameo in the star-studded song “Deewangi Deewangi” from ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2007, which was a nostalgic treat for fans of classic Bollywood.

Dharmendra further reminisced by sharing a video of Rekha presenting the Best Actor award to his son, Sunny Deol—another touching gesture that reflects their long-standing mutual respect and close bond. Rekha also made a brief appearance in ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se’ (2018), reuniting once again with Dharmendra and his sons.
