very own has told that he is ready to play first-team football and has hinted that he could leave on loan. Gabriele Biancheri enjoyed an excellent season in the academy, scoring 21 goals in 35 appearances across various levels.

A talented forward, Biancheri insists he is now prepared to take his football away from Old Trafford to continue his development. The 18-year-old trained with the first team on a couple of occasions but never made a matchday squad. That is despite United's forwards struggling for goals in a disastrous season that saw the club finish 15th in the Premier League.

"I don't really know the plan for next season. I just take everything as it comes. If that's going on loan and learning and getting experience playing men's football, I'll take it. If that's getting a chance with the first team and playing Under-21s and earning my shot, that's what I'll do," Biancheri told .

"That's why I play football: to play at the highest level, to play for Man United's first team. I'll always push myself to reach the heights I know I can. Playing for United's first team is a dream, but I know I can make it happen."

Born in Cardiff, Biancheri has played for Wales' junior teams at international level. However, he is on the radar of Canada, for whom he qualifies through his mother.

Biancheri has trained with Jesse Marsch's Canadian senior team and could be swayed to switch allegiance ahead of the 2026 World Cup, of which Canada will co-host. He is also eligible to represent Italy.

However, it is a famous Argentine who lit up Manchester with whom Biancheri mostly identifies. Aguero may have shone in the blue half of Manchester, scoring 260 goals in 390 appearances for City, but Biancheri sees similarities with his own game.

He added: "Like me, [Aguero] wasn't the biggest or strongest, but he knew where to be and he'd score all the time."

Biancheri's development is a case United will need to consider this summer. Amorim has a huge wealth of talent available to him below the first team, with many prospects already handed their debuts in the second half of last season.

It is expected to be a busy summer for the Red Devils. A £62.5million deal for Matheus Cunha to arrive from Wolves has already been agreed, while a £55m bid for Bryan Mbeumo has been submitted to Brentford.
