South superstar Nagarjuna's younger son Akhil Akkineni got married to artist Zainab Ravdjee in a traditional ceremony in Hyderabad on June 6, Friday.
While the couple is yet to share the first wedding photos officially, several pictures from their nuptials have surfaced online.
In the photos, Akhil can be seen wearing a traditional white outfit, while Zainab looked divine in an ivory and off-white saree with layers of diamond jewellery. She adorned her hair with white flowers, and also wore diamond bangles, blending traditions with minimalism.
In one of the photos, Nagarjuna can be seen performing a wedding ritual with his son.
Nagarjuna's elder son, actor Naga Chaitanya and his wife Sobhita Dhulipala were among the guests who attended the wedding.
Akhil and Zainab reportedly dated for three years before getting engaged in the presence of their friends and family members in November last year. Several big names, including Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and others attended the engagement ceremony and blessed the couple .
Soon after they announced their engagement, Akhil and Zainab were subjected to hate and trolling from a section of netizens due to the age difference between them and their religious differences. Zainab is 9 years elder to Akhil.
Akhil had disabled the comments under his engagement post on Instagram to ward off any hate and evil eye.
For those unversed, Zainab is the daughter of industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee, who is known to be a pioneer in the construction industry. Her brother, Zain Ravdjee, is the Chairman and Managing Director of Hyderabad's ZR Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd. Zainab herself is an artist who is known for paintings reflecting themes of nature, balance, and cultural influences.
