After this the second ODI will be played on August 20 and the third on August 23. Kohli is active only in the ODI format and the Bangladesh tour may be his next international assignment. Also it is expected that Rohit Sharma will be seen captaining this series. Kohli has now put his full focus on ODI cricket and his next target is the 2027 ODI World Cup. This tournament will be played in South Africa Zimbabwe and Namibia in October-November 2027. Kohli is planning to say goodbye to international cricket by playing in this World Cup. How has Virat Kohlis career been: Actually according to the current schedule of BCCI India has to play at least 27 ODIs before the World Cup. In these matches Kohli will get continuous opportunities to maintain his form and strengthen the team. He is currently among the greatest batsmen in ODI history with 14181 runs and 51 centuries. Virat Kohlis ODI record is excellent and that is why now his entire strength is on this format. So far Kohli has played 302 ODIs in which he has scored 14181 runs at an average of 57.88. During this he has scored 51 centuries and 74 half-centuries. His strike rate is 93.34 which makes him one of the most dangerous batsmen in ODI cricket.
