Let us tell you that the Commission has already released the answer key of the UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination. The Commission conducted the examination on Sunday, May 25, 2025 across the country. The examination consisted of two objective type papers (MCQ), each of which was of two hours and carried a maximum of 200 marks. There will be negative marking for wrong answers in this exam. For each wrong answer, one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned for that question will be deducted as a penalty. The Commission will fill 979 vacancies through this recruitment drive.

The UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination is only a screening test - the marks obtained in it will not be counted for determining the final merit list. Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the official website for all the latest updates.
