

Corona Cases in India: Covid-19 cases are increasing rapidly in the country. In the last 24 hours, 378 new Corona has been found infected in the country, after which the total number of active cases has exceeded 6,000. Along with this, 6 people have also died due to Corona during this period. According to the data of the Ministry of Health, the number of active cases in the country has now increased to 6,133.
Kerala ranks first among the most affected states, where 1,950 active cases have been registered. It is followed by 822 active Kovid cases in Gujarat, 693 in West Bengal and 686 in Delhi. Maharashtra also has 595 active cases. Experts believe that new variants are not dangerous, but it is necessary to be cautious in view of the rapid infection.
If we talk about the last 48 hours, then a total of 769 new cases have been reported. Most of these are mild and can be cured only through domestic care. The Ministry of Health has asked all the states to ensure availability of oxygen, isolation beds, ventilaters and essential medicines. The central government has also directed that adequate arrangements should be made for the resources required to deal with the infection.
Meeting of doctors and officials
Earlier, technical review meetings were held on June 2 and 3 under the chairmanship of Director General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr. Sunita Sharma. These meetings included Disaster Management Cell, Emergency Response Team (EMR), National Disease Control Center (NCDC), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Integrated Disease Monitoring Program (IDSP), representatives of hospitals in Delhi and officials of all states and union territories.
The purpose of the meeting was to assess the current situation and ensure upcoming preparations. It was also believed in the meeting that monitoring of diseases like influenza and severe respiratory infections should be intensified. According to the guidelines, tests have been made mandatory for patients admitted in cases of severe respiratory infections, and genome should be sent for sequening of positive samples, so that variants can be detected.
The Ministry of Health and the respective agencies are calling for vigilance to prevent the spread of infection. Experts say that it is necessary to monitor the state of infection and make adequate arrangements for the necessary resources to prevent the spread of the virus.
