
Actress Raveena Tandon flew with Air India just days after the tragic crash of Flight AI171, which occurred on June 12 when a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner operating from Ahmedabad to London's Gatwick Airport crashed seconds after takeoff at around 1:38 p.m, claiming over 200 lives. The actress penned an emotional note, describing the atmosphere as 'solemn.Sharing the photos on her Instagram handle, the actress wrote, "New Beginnings … to rise and fly again against all odds … to pick up and start all over, new resolve towards greater strength. Taking to her Instagram story, she wrote, "Boarded an Air India flight this morning and found myself absolutely overwhelmed with emotion as I buckled my seat. May our collective grief offer some solace to those who lost their loved ones."The Tata Group, which owns Air India, announced a compensation of Rs 1 crore for each family of those killed in the Ahmedabad plane crash. Additionally, Air India stated on Saturday that it will provide an interim payment of ₹25 lakh to the families of the deceased and the survivors.
