A video of a dispute between a bike taxi driver and a female passenger in Jayanagar area of Bengaluru has become increasingly viral on social media. This woman reports in an jewelery shop. The incident happened when the woman got down on the way and a fight started over the driver’s style of driving.
Language became the reason for controversy
It is being told that the dispute increased so much because the communication between the two could not be held. The woman was able to talk only in English, while the driver Suman S was speaking only Kannada. The obstruction of this mutual language worsened the situation. The woman refused to pay the rent and return the helmet, causing a quarrel and provoked.
Change in scuffle
The dispute turned into a growing scuffle. According to the report, the woman first hit Suman, in response to which Suman slapped her, causing her to fall to the ground. After the video of the entire incident surfaced, there has been anger among the people.
Driver cleaned
Driver Suman S said in his favor that the woman had asked her to stop the bike in the middle of the road, which would be dangerous. He told that the woman grabbed her collar, abused and hit the tiffin box. He said that he had only committed his self -defense and tried to calm the situation.
Dispute over racial comments
Another serious aspect was added to this entire episode when Suman told the woman that she "Go back to your country." The woman found this comment derogatory and complained about it. The woman says that many people who speak Kannada expect people from outside to learn Kannada, but the driver crossed the border using the word ‘country’.
Police action
The police have registered a case against Suman in custody. However, the woman did not want to register an FIR, so the investigation has been started on the basis of a non-enhanced report.
