Weather warning in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan today as well, along with thunderstorms, hailstorm and heavy rain will occur

Changes are being seen in the weather once again. The weather changed on Monday. Due to this, there was good rainfall at many places on Monday night and early Tuesday morning. Rainfall has brought relief from the heat. Changes will also be seen in the weather today on 17 June 2025. While the south of the country is drenched in rain, North India is in the grip of severe heat. Monsoon will spread to North India in a day or two, so the hope of getting relief from the heat has increased. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, light/moderate rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds of 40-50 kmph are expected at some/isolated places in Northwest India during June 17 to 21. Thunderstorms (wind speed of 50-60 kmph to 70 kmph) are expected in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana on June 17 and in Rajasthan during June 17.

Heavy rain is expected at isolated places over Haryana on June 16 and 21, West Uttar Pradesh on June 17 and during June 18 to 21, East Rajasthan on June 16, 20 and 21, East Uttar Pradesh during June 18 to 21, West Rajasthan on June 17, Himachal Pradesh on June 20 and 21. Very heavy rain is expected at isolated places over Uttarakhand during June 17 to 21.

Dust storm continues in Rajasthan,
let us inform you that dust storm (wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph) is very likely to occur at isolated places over West Rajasthan on 17th June.

At the same time, conditions are favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some parts of Gujarat, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and some more areas of Odisha in the next 24 hours. Monsoon will also advance into some parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh during the next 3 days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at some places over South Peninsular India and Konkan and Goa till June 17, 2025. Extremely heavy rainfall (> 20 cm) may also occur at some places. This means that these areas are going to receive very heavy rainfall.
