Railways is going to make another change. Railways is now going to start the facility of AC coaches for non-AC coaches as well. Till now this facility was available only in AC coaches.

Railway New Facility: The railway department keeps making changes from time to time keeping in mind the convenience of passengers. This includes increasing facilities at railway stations and increasing facilities in general and sleeper coaches of trains. In this sequence, the railway is going to make another change. The railway is now going to start the facility of AC coaches for non-AC coaches as well.

This new facility of the railway is related to hand wash. The Railway Board has decided to install liquid soap dispensers (keep handwash) in sleeper coaches of long distance trains as well. Till now this facility was available only in AC coaches. Indian Railways has decided that hand washing facility will be provided in all non-AC sleeper reserved coaches along with on-board housekeeping service.

Railway Board took this decision.

To further improve the hygiene standards in Indian Railways, it has been decided with the approval of the Board (MTRS and MF) that all non-AC sleeper reserve coaches of trains with On Board Housekeeping Service (OBHS) facility should be provided with liquid hand wash similar to the AC reserve coaches of these trains. The decision states that all zonal railways are advised to make necessary provisions in this regard in trains with OBHS facility.
 

What information did the railway official give

After this decision, liquid hand wash will now be made available in the sleeper coaches of long distance mail and express trains. A railway mechanical engineer said that liquid soap dispensers will be installed near the wash basins in the toilets and corridors of the sleeper coaches of those trains which have OBHS facility. Liquid hand wash will be filled in them before the train starts. If it runs out on the way, the employee will refill it.

OBHS facility in selected trains

Many types of trains run in India. Some are premium, such as Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express, Vande Bharat Express, Tejas Express, etc. Many types of facilities are provided in these trains. There are some superfast and mail express trains, and some are also passenger trains. Selected trains among the superfast mail-express trains have ave OBHS facility.
