Veteran Pakistani actress Asma Abbas, beloved for her powerful performances in dramas like Ranjha Ranjha Kardi and Chaudhary & Sons, recently shared a personal health update that has concerned many of her fans. Known for her vibrant personality and strong screen presence, Asma took to her YouTube channel to reveal the reason behind her recent absence—and it’s linked to a skin procedure that didn’t go as planned.
Asma, who belongs to a celebrated showbiz family and is also a cancer survivor, explained that she has long dealt with freckles on her face—a trait she shares with other members of her family. The spots had become more prominent over time, especially following her chemotherapy treatment, which she said contributed to their increase.
On the recommendation of her dermatologist, Asma decided to undergo a cauterization procedure to remove the freckles. She mentioned that she had been relying heavily on makeup to cover them and felt it was time to address the issue medically.
However, what followed was an unfortunate turn of events. Later that night, while relaxing with her daughter and daughter-in-law, Asma used a face mask—unaware that it would trigger a severe allergic reaction. The combination of the post-procedure sensitivity and the mask resulted in painful red rashes across her face.
Currently, she is undergoing treatment for the allergic reaction. Doctors have advised her to remain patient, continue with anti-allergy medication, and allow her skin time to heal naturally. Despite the discomfort, Asma appeared on camera to speak openly about her condition, reminding her followers of the risks involved in even minor cosmetic treatments.
Her candidness has been praised widely, with fans and fellow celebrities sending their well-wishes and admiring her strength. Asma Abbas’s story serves as a reminder of the importance of proper aftercare and medical guidance when undergoing cosmetic procedures.
