European Union agreed to new standards for vehicle recycling

Business Business: The European Union Council on Tuesday announced that it agreed to the requirements for changes in the design of new vehicles, so that they are suitable for reuse and recycling. The council said that its decision is based on the ‘extended productive responsibility’ (EPR) policy.
According to the new rules, a mandatory target has been set in which the use of recycled plastic is required to increase. The Aurophy Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) welcomed the council’s decision, although it also said that these new rules should not put pressure on the competitiveness of the vehicle industry.
