Israel's Commitment to Countering Iran's Nuclear Threat
New Delhi: Reuven Azar, Israel's ambassador to India, stated on Tuesday that the nation will persist in its efforts to undermine Iran's nuclear program amidst rising tensions between the two nations.
During a press briefing, he expressed a preference for a diplomatic resolution to the ongoing conflicts.
The ambassador emphasized that Israel has undertaken military actions aimed at significantly impairing Iran's nuclear and missile capabilities, which he views as a direct threat to Israel's security.
When questioned about future strategies, he reiterated, "We will continue to do what is within our capabilities to degrade Iran's nuclear program."
Regarding expectations from the United States, Azar noted that Israel and Washington are aligned in their approach, indicating that he believes the US will back Israel's initiatives.
He also expressed gratitude for the military and political support Israel receives from the US.
