Lois Boisson has credited her "basic morphology" as the reason behind her impressive body transformation, which has left some of her opponents scared on the courts. The 22-year-old made it all the way to the semi-finals of the this year, besting stiff competition in the likes of Elise Mertens, and before 6-1, 6-2 by world No. 2 Coco Gauff.
And while her incredible performances caught the attention of fans watching the Grand Slam around the world, her incredible physique has also put the French national in the spotlight. Filling out vests with broad shoulders and bustling biceps, Boisson has evidently put the work in at the gym, and her agent, Jonathan Dasnieres de Veigny, has even gone as far as claiming that she 'scares opponents' with her stature.
When asked about Dasniere's comments and if she hits the gym hard, Boisson told : "Yes. But then again, it's my basic morphology. Physically, I always play my heart out. Because of that, I've often injured myself. Mentally, I've also worked hard. It's thanks to all these factors that I was able to reach the semi-finals."
Elsewhere, Boisson was also asked about comparisons being made between herself and two-time Grand Slam winner Amelie Mauresmo, due to the now 45-year-old having a similar body form at the start of her illustrious career. The Dijon-born star replied: "I haven't really seen her play.
"I was born in 2003. I just watched videos of her. She had a beautiful game with her backhand. And she was very athletic. That's something we have in common. If I can have her record too, I'll sign up!"

Mauresmo retired from tennis in December 2009 with a stellar record of 545-227, having held the WTA world No. 1 spot four years prior. While she never managed to clinch a French Open title, she did secure both the Australian Open and Wimbledon in 2006, cementing herself as one of the greats of female tennis.
Boisson, meanwhile, only made her first Grand Slam appearance at this year's French Open, having missed out on Wimbledon, the Australian Open and the US Open since turning pro in 2021. However, she does hold six titles on the ITF Circuit and one in the WTA 125 - sitting at No. 67 in the WTA rankings.
It comes after Boisson made headlines earlier this year for the wrong reason, when Harriet Dart complained to the umpire at the Open de Rouen about body odour. Dart suffered a 6-0, 6-3 loss to Boissoon in her first-round clash of the tournament, but it wasn't just her opponent's superior play which proved problematic for her.
During a break in the second set, the 28-year-old approached the official and was heard asking: "Can you tell her to wear deodorant?" as the umpire bore a look of confusion. Dart received a wealth of criticism online for her comment, but was quick to explain herself on social media, insisting that there was no malicious intent.
She said: "Hey everyone, I want to apologise for what I said on court today, it was a heat-of-the-moment comment that I truly regret. That's not how I want to carry myself, and I take full responsibility. I have a lot of respect for Lois and how she competed today. I'll learn from this and move forward. Harriet."
Thankfully, Boisson saw the funny side of things, taking to her own Instagram account to share a mock-up photo of herself holding a can of Dove deodorant, as she wrote: "@Dove apparently need a collab."
