Lucknow: There has been a political fierce battle over the alleged corruption in the transfer of more than 200 Deputy Registrar and Registrar clerks in the Stamp and Registration Department. After SP President Akhilesh Yadav, BSP supremo Mayawati has raised questions in this case. Along with this, Mayawati has demanded CM Yogi Adityanath to take strict steps with the CM soon on the government corruption and malicious arbitrariness of the officers.

BSP supremo Mayawati wrote in the X post on Friday, ‘Like most of the states of the country, in UP, government activities at all levels as well as allegations of corruption and stake in various departments, are surrounded by continuous general discussions and news of transfers. Taking strict cognizance to the Chief Minister, not only to activate the prohibition of corruption vigilance etc., but it is also necessary to make necessary improvements in the system by forming a time -bound SIT. On the government corruption and malicious arbitrariness of officers, the UP CM should take strict steps as soon as possible.

Earlier on Thursday, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav targeted the Yogi government without naming anyone. He wrote in the X post, ‘The one who did not find the part in the transfer is opening the secret and the truth is that many ministers have returned the file when the’ fees’ of the transfer file is not received. It was heard that the engine demands fuel, but here the box is engaged in its fuel jugaad.

What is the whole matter?

Minister of State for Stamp and Registration (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal on Wednesday made a written complaint to CM Yogi and accused Registration of Registration Sameer Verma of transacting lakhs of rupees in transfers and violating the transfer policy and giving the tainted officers the desired deployment. The minister had also demanded the removal of Sameer Verma from the post of IG and also demanded the CM to investigate the entire matter with the STF.
