The Israeli military announced that it launched airstrikes on at least six airports located across western, eastern, and central regions of Iran.
According to a post shared on its Hebrew-language X account, Israel claimed that its remotely operated aircraft destroyed 15 Iranian planes and helicopters.
An image included in the post identified Tehran’s Mehrabad, Mashhad, and Dezful airports as some of the locations targeted.
The statement added that the strikes hit runways, underground bunkers, a refueling aircraft, and F-14, F-5, and AH-1 jets belonging to the Iranian military.
It also claimed that the operation disrupted takeoffs and hampered Iran's air force capabilities at these sites.
