BSC Young Boys have confirmed that they are in discussions with Lille OSC for Alan Virginius (22). The Frenchman spent the past season on loan with the Swiss club, where he made 45 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven and assisting four.
It is still unclear whether Young Boys are attempting to negotiate a new loan or a transfer for the 22-year-old. However, as per a report from The teamthe club did have the option to make their loan deal permanent this summer.
Virginius had struggled to make much of an impression during his time at Lille, having arrived at the northern club from his training club FC Sochaux-Montbéliard in 2022. The forward, who can play on either wing or as a number nine, was given only a season and a half before being sent on loan to Clermont Foot at the back end of the 2023/24 campaign.
