“EVERYONE, KEEP OIL PRICES DOWN. I’M WATCHING! YOU’RE PLAYING RIGHT INTO THE HANDS OF THE ENEMY. DON’T DO IT!,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
In another post, adressing the the Department of Energy he said,“DRILL, BABY, DRILL!!! And I mean NOW!!!”
Responding to President Trump, Energy Secretary Chris Wright said, “We’re on it! Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, America’s energy security is stronger than ever before.”
Notably, Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, rose 2 per cent to USD 77.27 per barrel in futures trade.
