As soon as the month of July starts, bank customers should already do their financial planning, because this month, banks are going to be closed for a total of 13 days in different states across the country. These holidays have been declared by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under the Negotiable Instruments Act, which has been decided keeping in mind the local festivals, religious opportunities and weekly holidays in various states.

16 July (Wednesday) Harela – Dehradun,
17 July (Thursday) U Tirot Singh death anniversary – Shillong,
19 July (Saturday) Ker Pooja – Agartala,
July 20 (Sunday) Weekly Holiday – All states,
26 July (Saturday) Fourth Saturday – All states,

Some important facts:
Banks will remain closed for 3 consecutive days from July 12 to 14 in Shillong. Whereas banks will not open for three consecutive days from 26 to 28 July in Gangtok. On these dates, if you have to submit checks or go to the bank and do any necessary work, then plan in advance, so that there is no inconvenience.

Bank branches will remain closed during these holidays, but customers can easily use online banking and ATM services. Available services: Net banking / mobile banking, UPI and other digital payments medium, cash withdrawal from ATM, card transactions etc.
