Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal is having a phenomenal season as his 41 goal contributions in just 17-years of age has helped Barcelona clinch three titles in the season. This was the first season under Hansi Flick and he changed the dynamic of the club. However, when asked Lamine Yamal gave credit to their former coach Xavi (a club legend). Lamine feels it was Xavi who gave the young one’s the chances they deserve and then the mindset of playing the young ones came in.
Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal is enjoying a phenomenal season, emerging as one of the brightest stars in world football.
While the German tactician has brought a new dynamic and tactical sharpness to the team in his debut season, Yamal was quick to acknowledge the foundational role of former coach and club legend Xavi Hernandez. In his post-title interview, the young forward expressed heartfelt gratitude toward Xavi for laying the groundwork.
“I’d like to thank Xavi, without him this was not gonna be possible. He gave us young players the opportunity to make our debuts. I would like to thank him,” Yamal said.
Though full of praise for Xavi’s vision, Yamal made sure to appreciate Flick as well, crediting him for his management style, attacking philosophy, and smart tactical approach that elevated Barcelona’s performance across all competitions.
