
Kathmandu (Nepal), May 17 (ANI): Nepali Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba stated that the participants of the Sagarmatha Sambaad have shown their commitment to Nepal’s stance on climate change. Speaking at a press conference after the first day of the three-day event, she mentioned that those who spoke during the inaugural session expressed their support for Nepal's perspectives on climate-related issues. She extended her gratitude to all attendees, noting that the participating nations have responded positively to Nepal’s efforts in highlighting climate concerns. The Foreign Minister also shared that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had officially launched the Sagarmatha Sambaad by unveiling its banner. Altogether, 19 speakers—including 13 from within Nepal and six representing regional and international organizations—addressed topics related to climate change, mountain ecosystems, and the future of humanity.
