Depleted by the absence of several key international players the Punjab Kings will rely on their Indian contingent in their Sunday match against the already-eliminated Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Victory would significantly improve Punjabs playoff chances while Rajasthan aims for a final albeit inconsequential win. Following their last IPL match against Delhi which was abandoned due to security concerns in Dharamsala on May 8th stemming from India-Pakistan tensions the Punjab team aims to move forward. Facing the absence of key players Marco Jansen Marcus Stonis and Josh Inglis Punjab will rely on the contributions of captain Shreyas Iyer Priyansh Arya Prabhsimran Singh Nehal Wadhera Yuzvendra Chahal and Arshdeep Singh. The Rajasthan Royals had a disappointing season hampered by Sanju Samsons extended absence and inconsistent performances from key players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag. Despite Vaibhav Suryavanshis promising debut the team also faced the setback of Jofra Archers departure following the IPL suspension. The Royals are now looking to move past this difficult year.
