CID Makes a Triumphant Return

The beloved crime series CID is making its comeback on television after a six-year hiatus, much to the delight of its fans. The show promises to deliver more thrilling investigations and features the much-loved character, ACP Pradyuman.

In the previous season, viewers were left in shock when ACP Pradyuman was depicted as dying in a bomb explosion, leading to significant backlash from fans online. The revival of this character has sparked joy among the audience.

On Thursday, Sony Entertainment Television unveiled a new promo for CID 2 on Instagram. The teaser showcases Shivaji Satam returning to his role as ACP Pradyuman, making a dramatic entrance into his investigative office, gazing at the CID logo with his signature pose.

The promotional caption read: 'Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost. Dekhiye #CID Sat-Sun raat 10 baje, sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par.'

Fans have taken to social media to express their enthusiasm: "Finally, the real boss is back!" exclaimed one viewer, while another commented, "What an entry, the Boss is back in action." One fan shared their emotional response, stating, "I was in tears during your death scene in CID, so I'm thrilled to see you again, sir." Another added, "The true OG of CID... Welcome back, sir!" Many others echoed similar sentiments of excitement.

CID 2 is set to air on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV every weekend at 10 PM, featuring the iconic trio of Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Dayanand Shetty.

Originally premiering in 1998, CID has produced over 1600 episodes, with ACP Pradyuman being one of its most cherished characters.
