The Indian Premiere League aka IPL began in 2008 and it’s after 18 years that Virat Kohli and his team Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won the coveted trophy in 2025.
The IPL 2025 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings saw Virat Kohli scoring 43 on 35 balls and RCB eventually setting a target of 191 runs in 20 overs.
In response, PBKS had a good start but eventually fell short of winning the trophy by six runs. As soon as RCB won the IPL trophy, Virat Kohli was seen breaking down in tears as this was the wait of 18 years.
