Introduction to New Hatchbacks

Are you considering purchasing a hatchback priced under Rs 10 Lakh? If you have an urgent need for a vehicle, it’s advisable to proceed with your purchase. However, if you can afford to wait a few months, you might benefit from a variety of newly launched models. Below is a compilation of upcoming hatchbacks and facelifts that will soon hit the market.

Suzuki Fronx Hybrid Source -Team-BHP

Earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki revealed plans to introduce several new vehicles aimed at Indian consumers. These upcoming models will feature various powertrain options to enhance affordability and mobility. The company has indicated that these launches will include mild hybrid, CNG, and flex-fuel technologies. While specific details remain under wraps, a hybrid version of the Fronx is expected to be released soon. If you were considering the CNG variants of the Baleno, Fronx, or Swift, it might be wise to hold off for a bit, as the hybrid Fronx will be available shortly.

Hyundai Bayon

Hyundai has recently announced a series of new launches that will soon be introduced to the market. A key model among these is a compact crossover hybrid, powered by a new 1.2-litre Kappa engine, internally codenamed BC4i, and globally recognized as the Bayon. This new engine will serve as a cornerstone of Hyundai's hybrid offerings in India, effectively bridging the gap between the existing 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engines.

Suzuki Escudo

Maruti Suzuki is set to unveil a brand-new five-seater SUV, tentatively named the Escudo. This model will slot between the current Vitara Brezza and the Grand Vitara. It aims to compete with popular models like the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. The new SUV is designed for buyers looking for a more upscale option than the Vitara Brezza but at a lower price point than the Grand Vitara. It is likely to be powered by the existing 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine, enhanced with hybrid technology.

Renault Kwid

Renault India is gearing up to revitalize its lineup after a period of stagnation. Currently, the brand offers the Kwid, Triber, and Kiger, but plans to introduce a new Duster and an electric hatchback are underway. The new Kwid EV has been spotted testing since 2024, with recent sightings in Tamil Nadu, where both Nissan and Renault operate. The Kwid EV bears a resemblance to the Dacia Spring EV available in international markets.
